You read about it in the Wall Street Journal.  Time Magazine made it their cover story.  It’s the number one topic on Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and Linkedin. It’s the rage in Europe, Japan and Akron, Ohio.  Blog Fest 2009 starts on Monday.  The brainchild of this demented blogger, it will include a different guest blogger every day for at least the next two weeks – and you never know who you might run into at Blog Fest 2009!

And, if you believe any of this bull, other than a different message each day from a great photographer, I’ve got a bridge and a couple of cases of fresh off the line Kodachrome to sell you!   Thanks to feedback from so many of you over the last few months, I’ve been able to pull together some pretty terrific photographers for guest blogs over the next two weeks,  each one with a different message, technique or idea on diversifying your business.

Technology and the economy are changing daily – they create challenges forcing all of us to constantly re-evaluate our business, our skill set and our goals.  I’ve been very fortunate in my career to have worked with some of the finest photographers and instructors in our industry.  It makes so much sense to turn the blog over to them and give everybody a few new dimensions to think about.

So, tune in Monday as Ralph Romaguera Sr. leads off Blog Fest 2009.   Besides being a terrific friend, Ralph has been one of the leaders in the school market for many years.  Losing big time following the wrath of Katrina, he and his sons have worked hard to rebuild their New Orleans based business.   He’s a terrific photographer, but that’s not his biggest asset…it’s his involvement in the photographic community, his support of his friends and most important of all, even in the wake of Katrina, he never lost hope or the belief in the importance of rebuilding New Orleans and his community.

Blog Fest 2009 – Starting Monday – hope you’re there…or is it here?
