The response from this past summer’s attendees at Skip’s Summer School was pretty amazing.  So, it makes sense to do it again.  Only this time we’re adding in a lot of the great feedback and speaker requests from the post program survey.  Thanks to some terrific suggestions, we’re going to make it even better next year!

The theme for next year is “Diversity”, which in today’s economy is critical to your growth and your survival.  We’ve added a broader variety of topics including seniors, pets, children and family, while continuing to stay focused on weddings and portraiture.

The MGM Las Vegas was terrific, so we’ll be back there again next summer.  They’ve guaranteed a rate of $79 a night with a one time per room $25 activity/dining credit.  It’s too early for the specifics of the 2 for 1 dining and entertainment card, but you can count on something being announced as we get closer to the event next year.

We’ll have the entire third floor of the MGM Conference Center to ourselves.  The room will be set up classroom style with WiFi, including charging stations, so you can stay in touch with your life while away.  The excitement starts on Sunday night, August 8 and runs to noon on Wednesday, the 11th.

The speaker line-up for 2010, although it’s always possible to have last minute changes, includes Scott Bourne, Joe Buissink, Jonathan Canlas, Kay Eskridge, Kevin Kubota, Cliff Mautner, Dane Sanders, Jasmine Star, Vicki Taufer, Kirk Voclain and Yervant coming in from Australia.   It’s a star-studded faculty with diversity in wedding, portraiture, children and family, business, marketing and album design.

There are lot more surprises for next year, which will be announced in the weeks ahead, but here’s one I want to let out of the bag right now: One of the biggest requests for future programming was “hands-on lighting”.  So, with a whole lot of help from Tony Corbell, one of our industry’s greatest lighting instructors, we’ll be running the Lighting Lab with several mini hands-on demonstrations each day, including multiple light setups and models!

I know it’s early to be thinking about next summer and an event ten months away, but at the very least, circle the dates.    You don’t want to miss the opportunity to participate in the “ultimate networking experience” while recharging your battery half way through the year and picking up new ideas on how to diversify and grow your business!

Stay tuned to mei500.com for the latest information about registration and additional programming!  Registration is anticipated to go live in December.    This is going to be a kick with great networking, great educational programming and all at an affordable cost!

See you in Vegas!
