I’ve lived in 9 different houses in my 22 years (moving stressful? tell me about it!) and almost every time I move I come across a box of prints or a photo album that I’ve forgotten. I love looking through them and remembering those little moments, especially now that I’m old enough to have taken the photos myself.

A beautiful image from the start. All of the photoshop work in the world, the best Actions can’t take a sow’s ear and make it into a silk purse.

Look at the composition, the lighting, and exposure. And the fact that a pair of sunglasses were used as a polarizer, shows cameras don’t take pictures, but talented, people do.

This inspiring image makes me want to start a project using my new iphone to create images.

Thanks for the reminder of what it takes to make a beautiful image and for the reminder that I need to print an image of Koi for my home. (if that is ok with the artist)

What a wonderful read that was and a lovely photo. As a photographer I’ve sometimes found that we can get so caught up in image taking that it becomes a production line affair. Having just had a look around my sitting room at the pictures, some older when not really doing photography as a living and some pro ones as well as my sons army photos the memory of taking it, where we were at the time and the emotion of that day has just came flooding back and memories reignited.

Thanks very much for that, the kind of jolt into why we do what we do
