I know it’s going to seem like a series of infommercials, but that’s the kind of morning it is – so here are a few cool reminders to think about.

1) Registration for Skip’s Summer School will hopefully open the end of this week.  Things kick off on Sunday afternoon, August 8 at 3:30 with a sneak preview from this year’s incredible sponsors and finish on Wednesday, August 11 at 12:30.   Cost is $279, but there’s an outstanding early bird special coming if you register early.  The MGM Grand is the host hotel with a $79 room rate, 2 for 1 dining card and a one time $25 dining/entertainment credit, registration code at the MGM is SSS005.  The theme is diversity with a star-studded faculty that’s truly amazing!  

2) Tomorrow morning we’ll draw another random follower for the Jill-e Designs men’s bag, but you’ve got to follow me on Twitter (http://twitter.com/skipcohen) to be in the running.  And, this bag is really a great looking piece of gear – continued to be highly coveted by me until Jill gets the hint and sends me one!  LOL

3) Everybody has their own favorite blogs, but if you haven’t checked it out yet, visit www.photofocus.com.  There’s a reason why there are over a million page views each month – great content and solid information.

4) If you’re going to WPPI I’d love to catch up to you.  Not working for WPPI any longer might just give me the first time in years where I’ll actually be able to enjoy the convention, have time to talk to people and put a few faces with the names of so many photographers who I admire! 

And, since I’m totally unfocused this morning with random thoughts, here’s a great quote I found yesterday…

“Even if you haven’t encountered great success yet, there is no reason you can’t bluff a little and act like you have. Confidence is a magnet in the best sense of the word. It will draw people to you and make your daily life.. and theirs.. a lot more pleasant.”

It’s hard to believe I’m actually quoting Donal Trump, but think about his statement as if he was a photographer!  It sure seems to fit, just avoid the comb-over!
