This is a great post Skip! I really enjoyed reading it. (Thanks for the mention by the way). This article needs to be read by everyone who attends or speaks at conventions. Skip I could not agree with you more on this one. I have been to WPPI 3 times now and will be attending your summer school in August. I love these speakers. they have so much to share. When I am sitting in that room, I want knowledge…..I want to learn from the best.
I do not mind when a speaker ends the presentation with a website address or number where we can go look at products that they have……but including all of these products into part of their show is tacky in my opinion.
I respect the teachers who keep the selling to a minimum and end up buying more from them in the long run
