Thanks Don - it's a kick being back in the midwest and as long as the community supports it we're going to keep bringing great programs to Akron...circle the dates for Clay Blackmore on October 10, 2-7:00 pm, specifics should be ready to be announced next week and I think I just locked in the King of Lighting for December 6 and 7 - a program for a larger audience like Clay will be doing and more private lighting work for a smaller group the following day, max probably 30 people. And, thanks for your kind words!

I for one am grateful for Skips decision to move to Akron.. As a photog in the Columbus, OH area, I and many others have been climbing the walls looking for something, anything in the form of learning, networking and just plain old positive reinforcement!!
Had a chance to meet you briefly Skip at the event MJS did downtown Akron.. The whole time my buddies and I were whispering amongst our selves about how awesome it is to have all these resources, this close..

Hi Skip,

I think this is a fantastic idea. My dad was born and raised in Akron so I've spent a little bit of time there. The creative community is awesome and the art shows I've been to are very inspiring (and hurt my wallet, too!). In fact, I'm staring at 3 paintings we purchased at one of the shows a few years ago, but a young, Russian couple that are just beatufil!

Good luck with these seminars. Work schedule permitting, I plan on attending!

Ciao, Danté

David Beckstead was in Akron a few years ago, so I guess he was ahead of the wave?

I'd be really interested in getting some great photographers here, it'd be nice not to have to drive or fly to see them!
