It’s only the alphabet that puts Yervant at the back of the pack with the profiles of Skip’s Summer School instructors.  Presenting on Tuesday night, August 10, I can promise he’ll give you ideas that if you listen and implement will put your work right up to the front of the line, no matter where your market!

If you can join us at Summer School I guarantee you’ll pick up new ideas and recharge your battery for the last quarter of the year, but if not, then at least put every one of the photographers I’ve profiled over the last two weeks in your network!

I found a lot of videos on YouTube of Yervant.   If a picture is worth a thousand words then a video of one of Yervant’s albums is worth a whole novel!

 

Yervant is the ultimate storyteller.   He’s an outstanding photographer, but it’s the way he tells the story that’s brought him award after award year after year in WPPI competition.  I’ve watched the video above three times.  The first time I just had fun watching it.  The second I paid attention to his layouts and the way he presented each image, sometimes on a single page, other times in a double page spread.  The last time was just to enjoy the images themselves, his composition, the expressions, the lighting and even the print quality.

Then I had a great time when I found a video of Yervant teaching in Venice in 2006 and while it’s old news, it’s simply fun to watch him in action.  Just watching this video you can pick up on the enthusiasm he brings to every program and workshop he does!   Here’s a fun little sidebar about the video – that’s Bambi Cantrell’s son Cameron and his wife as models for Yervant’s Venice workshop that year.   Yervant also photographed their actual wedding, which is a testimonial all in itself.
