First Round of Images from "Working With What You've Got"
The request for images in yesterday’s blog has resulted in some great work, simply demonstrating you don’t have to be in Malibu or the Rockies to get some great back drops for your images! The idea of the contest was a little half-baked, so here are the “rules”… we’ll keep it simple!
1) Contest ends on July 7th.
2) You’re allowed to enter up to three images, but the number of images will not increase your chances of winning. Each photographer counts as one entry.
3) By submitting your images you agree to allow me to post them on my blog. They will NOT be used for any other purpose. By submitting the images you are authorizing my publication of them on the blog and acknowledging you own the rights to the images themselves. I reserve the right to not post images if they’re not appropriate to the topic or my blog. Images should be sent to skip@mei500.com, 3×4, 72dpi
4) One photographer will be drawn at random from those who have submitted images and will be announced on July 8. The winner will receive a complimentary full registration to Skip’s Summer School in Las Vegas on August 8-11. All other costs, travel, hotel, food etc. are the responsibility of the award recipient. The registration is non-transferable.
Okay, so now that we’ve got that out of the way – here are the first images received so far! Nice job you guys – there are some great images here! And it’s funny, when I asked for images I was pretty much thinking about people stuff, but I love some of the macro work as well – maybe the point of the contest should really be about learning to see!
Thanks for a really fun first round. I’ll continue to post images that come in.

I love this!!! It’s a great way to teach us to look beyond the “usual”.
