Sunday Morning Reflection: Anticipation
Absolutely nothing heavy this morning, just some fun talking about the word “anticipation”. In just a few hours I’m going to see friends I haven’t seen in months, some of them not since last year. Thanks to social media we’ve continued to be in touch, but it’s not the same as being together in person. What a great feeling the anticipation is!
So, I’m curious about how many of you look at attending various conventions and workshops – I’m talking about the annual national events. Ever think about how the excitement you feel about going? It often has so little to do with your photography, but friendships and networking. That’s not a bad thing – we’re all so focused on the challenges in our business that we need a break - and that break comes in conjunction with continuing your education all with the benefit of great friendships!
I’ve said it before, the best thing about our industry has nothing to do with photography, but the friendships that grow out of every one’s love for the craft!
Happy Sunday everybody!

Hey Skip….I think about it all the time! You are so right about it and I agree, coming to events like Summer School are great for learning…but having the ability to forget some things and reconnect face to face with old friends and meet new ones…is priceless! Thank you for doing what you do!
