Sunday Morning Reflections: Reunions
There are few things more fun than a reunion of old friends and last night was no exception. Riverside High School’s annual get together, which could only happen in a small town like Painesville, Ohio. A bigger city would probably have more classmates heading to other areas of the country, but the nice thing about a little town in the midwest – lots of people still live in the area.
The most fun aspect? At this point in our lives nobody cares if you were a geek, jock, cheerleader or a hood! The common denominator is we’ve all survived another year and we appreciated a chance to enjoy each other’s company.
That’s also the common denominator when we go to the various conventions and trade shows. We’ve all survived another year – we’re all still passionately in love with this industry. Even at a smaller event like Summer School last week, it was wonderful seeing friends I hadn’t seen since last year. Photography is important, but it’s the friendships we share that make it all worth it!
I found a great quote from Eleanor Roosevelt that seems so appropriate…
“Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart!”
